The Purpose of Special Forces Ministries

SAPD in action

God has a special love in His heart for cities as well as people. He hates the evil that often flourishes in cities and is constantly at work raising up His people to expose evil, institute justice, care for the oppressed and build up the city in righteousness.

Special Forces Ministries is part of God’s plan for the city of San Antonio and surrounding environs. Working with the law enforcement officers, Chaplain Danny Hubbell hopes to empower each to live by the power and strength of Jesus Christ so they can experience God’s love and power in their lives and impact the communities they live in with that same overcoming love and righteousness.

In this war against crime and injustice, law enforcement officers are the front line of defense for the American public in communities and cities around the nation. They’re the 911 of our lives – the people called into battle on a daily basis against the forces of evil.

Thus, as the forces of evil permeate our society “Persta” – a Latin word which means “stand strong” – has become our rally cry as we take up our responsibility of encouraging those called of God (Romans 13:1) who physically stand between us and the evil of our society.

Front Line Defense...

"In this war against crime and injustice, law enforcement officers are the front line of defense for the American public in communities and cities around the nation."

Law enforcement is a unique area of society to minister. Due to the great demands of shift work and extra protective service needs, the job itself acts as an inhibitor for these men and women to attend church. Without spiritual protection, these men and women are thrust into the heart of depravity.

Our hearts break as we see one after another succumb to the temptations inherent in the profession itself. Hundreds of officers throughout the land are facing prison for straying across the line of integrity that has become so blurred.

Special Forces Ministries hopes to become a safe place to share the deepest fears, concerns, and temptations in a way that won’t jeopardize the stability of employment but will allow open communication about issues that left unchecked could destroy every aspect of their well being.
